CONGRESSMAN RUBÉN HINOJOSA ANNOUNCES FEDERAL GRANT OF OVER $2 MILLION FOR EDINBURG'S SOUTH TEXAS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Congressman Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX-15) announced the Texas Department of Transportation through the Federal Aviation Administration awarded a grant of $2,484,820 to the South Texas International Airport at Edinburg for pavement improvements.

"I congratulate the local community leaders in Edinburg who have been steadfast in their dedication to the completion of the airport," said U.S. Rep. Hinojosa. "Throughout the years we have worked together to bring critical funding from the federal government to complete the cargo airport. This new grant will be used to improve the aviation facilities and will bring the project closer to completion."

The South Texas International Airport (EBG) is owned and operated by the three time All-America City of Edinburg, Texas and will soon be a “User Fee” clearance airport.
